Commercial equipment for convenience store drinks

Convenience stores have their name for a reason. Their convenience is a large part of what makes many of them appealing. For a long time that was all they did, sold beverages and snack foods to highway drivers. The dynamic changed somewhat when the introduction of frozen drinks made convenience stores more than just a shop to easily buy empty calories, but a destination for these slushy beverages.

Children especially are fans of the iced drink, and most convenience stores would be remiss without adding a frozen drink machine to their equipment list. The frozen flavors combined with sugar makes these concoctions hot sellers, but just buying and distributing generic slushy flavors like cherry and Coca-Cola seems like a wasted opportunity.

Many frozen drink machines are self cooled and manually filled. As such, making your own unique iced drink could easily set you apart from the crowd. Utilizing a blender and the right amount of ice, you can serve specialty slushies that vary from day to day.

Blending frozen strawberries with a simple syrup and crushed ice seems like a generic strawberry slushy recipe, but the fresh ingredients and the proper combinations can make your strawberry stand apart. Consider using a machine that allows two flavors and in the other one put a pina colada flavor to allow customers to combine the two flavors for a unique twist.

Combining fruits could make your unique flavors stand out as well, whether tried-and-true favorites like lemon-lime or kiwi-strawberry, or more modern combinations like blueberry and peaches. Combining them all into a fruit punch flavor can be an effective use of the fruits as well, as it is a flavor that has appealed to people for decades.

Fruit isn't your only option for slushies, either. Consider stocking your machine with a tea-flavored drink instead of a fruit-based one. Again this is an opportunity for pairing your flavors, with tea on one side and a lemonade slushy on the other. Green tea and pink lemonade is a similar combination, but one that is a bit more unique. Any soft drink can be made into a slushy as well, other than just Coca-Cola. A Mountain Dew-flavored drink could mix well with a strawberry one. Have an energy drink-based slushy for those who want the caffeine but also want to cool down.

Possibilities are only limited to your imagination, but can be a great way to make your store a slushy paradise.
