Filling your hotel lobby with restaurant equipment

While many pieces of restaurant equipment are large and take up a lot of space, some of them are useful for more than just restaurants. Consider equipping your lobby with a few fresh airpots. Airpots are a kind of pressurized thermos that allows you to keep hot beverages heated and fresh for a very long time.

Hotels aim to satisfy customers and guests from the moment they walk through the door. Quality service should begin immediately upon entrance to the hotel, and if it does you can be sure to have many satisfied customers.

Fill a couple airpots with coffee for customers to take advantage of, especially near the check-in desk. After a long trip, waiting in line to check into a hotel room is not the most pleasant of experiences. You can improve that by allowing those who arrive the opportunity for a complimentary cup of coffee, both regular and decaf.

Not everyone drinks coffee however. Consider also including a third airpot filled with hot water to appeal to those who like other warm beverages, such as a variety of different flavors of tea. A soothing sleepytime brew is perfect for those late day arrivals who just want to get into bed, not kept awake by caffene. English breakfast tea is good for those who want to wake up and explore the area, peppermint can be great for a festive holiday tea, or a fruity tea to compliment the warm summer.

You can even take steps to make the kids happy. An airpot full of hot chocolate is sure to be a hit and have the children of your guests talking their parents ear off about how great your hotel was and how much they loved the hot chocolate in the lobby. If you don't want to invest in a fourth airpot, provide instant hot chocolate powder packets with the tea, giving children an added fun element of making it themselves.

There are many ways to use restaurant equipment to improve your customer service, and with the airpot, you're sure to make many travelers and guests very grateful.
