Food storage transportation is more important than you'd think

Many restaurants would think that adding food transportation items to their stock of equipment is a waste of time and money. After all, transporting cooked food is more along the lines of what a caterer would do, rather than an established restaurant. What need would a stationary restaurant have for quality food transportation costs?

The saying goes that no press is bad press, and while that may not apply to a restaurant directly, the idea behind it does. The thought that promotion is always good, no matter how well-known you are, is one that's tough to argue against. It's the reason that McDonalds still spends money on advertising, even though it's arguably one of the most well-known companies in the world. If a fast food restaurant like that can still benefit from promotion, then so can your restaurant.

Quality transportation equipment can be used to facilitate that promotion. Though it seems like it doesn't make sense, giving away your food can be a great way to make more money. Food festivals are one place where transporting your food and giving it away is great promotion. Pick your best tasting or most popular dish, prepare a large amount of it beforehand, and serve it with a coupon or flyer at a local food festival. This will not only give prospective customers a chance to taste your food and know it's good, but it will introduce your name to many who haven't heard of you before.

Similarly, packing up and giving out food for free in a town center or heavily trafficked local area can be a great way of promoting. Essentially, you're hosting your own food festival here, with two or three of your best dishes. This allows you to woo a crowd with free samples, promotional offers and a cooking demonstration. This will not only get people to remember your name, but they will associate it with good feelings, as they'll remember not only the great food you provided, but also the event that they had so much fun at.

Make sure, in both cases, to check local laws and find out any information you need about proper permits and permissions. In the end, promotions only improve your customer base, and food transportation restaurant equipment can help with that process.
